Proprietary manufacturing techniques and components, combined with beautiful woods and inlays, makes the Schon CX16 custom pool cue a striking instrument, both in appearance and in performance. Stained Birdseye Maple serves as a backdrop on the forearm and sleeve to wonderful ebony, stained maple veneer and ivory inlays. The wrap is black Irish linen with white specks. The attention to detail is impeccable, right down to the thin nickel silver rings. Offering a stiff hit, this cue incorporates a piloted stainless steel joint and shorter shaft taper, which is preferred by many players. In business since 1981, Schon employs a small in-house staff of full-time craftsmen who give great attention to quality. And because the cues are produced in smaller quantities, designer Evan Clarke is able to personally finish and test each cue, ensuring it stands up to the German meaning behind the name Schon…beautiful.
